A capstone is the final "crown" demonstrating strength and structure. A Capstone Project is designed to encourage students to think critically, solve problems, develop skills and become reflective learners. The Capstone aims to build skills so students can continue their journey towards discovering the careers and life choices that is right for them.
For our Capstone, you will be choosing ONE of two options:
1. The Personal Story OR
2. The Passion Project
The Personal Story details can be found HERE
The Passion Project is simply a showcase of your talents, what you love and what brings you joy! (examples of this? your passion for music, a sport, a technical skill, volunteerism, etc)
Note: if neither of the choices work for you, please see Mr Gill or Mr Szeto for an alternate choice

As noted in the Ministry of Education website, please follow these guidelines when submitting your proposal:
Students are encouraged to select a capstone development process that aligns with their interests and strengths, their community connections, and learning areas they would like to explore more deeply in order to support their plans for post-graduation. They are also encouraged to select a representation that aligns with their hopes and aspirations. The representation may take many forms, including a product (e.g., a robot for a student interested in engineering projects), a performance (e.g., a videotaped monologue for a student seeking to join a theatre group), and/or a service (e.g., a series of early learning activities that the student applies with children in a local StrongStart Centre). It is important for this capstone component to be student- driven and future-oriented, with the intent to connect personal strengths and interests with plans for post-graduation and community opportunities. |
